Audubon, the magazine of the National Audubon Society, is a bimonthly publication with a circulation of nearly 500,000. Our mission is to help readers appreciate, understand, and protect the natural world, with a particular focus on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

Editorial Intern

We are looking for upper-level undergraduate or graduate students with some reporting and writing experience and a demonstrated interest in the environmental matters covered in Audubon.

Audubon interns are required to work at least two days per week. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about magazine publishing and environmental issues, and to get some great clips. Interns usually write short articles for at least two departments of the magazine. Other responsibilities can include fact checking, researching story ideas, and copy editing. Clerical duties are minimal. Pay is minimum wage.
